Job Description

The Commercial Sales Associate at Alarm.com is responsible for driving revenue by prospecting, onboarding, and developing new commercial dealers in the security and smart technology industry, with a focus on building relationships, providing technical and sales training, and supporting dealer growth within the west region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect, onboard, and develop new commercial dealers into the partner program
  • Develop relationships with key individuals inside accounts and resolve obstacles to dealer success
  • Assist commercial dealers in presenting large end-user opportunities
  • Conduct on-site product technical and sales training for dealers
  • Collaborate with sales team to identify target dealers and coordinate sales efforts

Requirements

  • Proven outside sales experience in the sales, installation, and support of commercial security products, specifically access control, alarm systems, and video surveillance
  • Ability to increase revenue, close new accounts, and successfully grow existing accounts
  • Ability to sell concepts and value-added services
  • Successful history of client and account management and business development
  • Highly motivated, self-starter with the ability to work independently
  • Ability to meet heavy travel demands, approximately 50-75% travel within the west region
  • Ability to manage a large set of accounts and prioritize activities for highest impact
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including client presentation and training delivery experience
  • Demonstrated passion for providing the highest-quality customer service
  • Team player with an extremely positive attitude and flexibility
  • Strong technical and computer skills and aptitude
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a small, fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor’s degree (strongly preferred)
