A Data Engineer at Akaysha is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining a scalable and secure data platform to support analytics, reporting, and decision-making, while ensuring data quality, compliance, and automation across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and own all data instances across the organization, ensuring efficient data collection, transformation, and storage.
Architect, build, and maintain a robust, scalable, and secure data platform for analytics, reporting, and decision-making.
Design, implement, and optimize data storage solutions to meet regulatory standards and ensure data accuracy and consistency.
Collaborate with analytics teams to provide structured datasets and promote best practices and innovation.
Implement automation, integrate machine learning models, and address data bias and ethics in AI workflows.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of data processes, tools, business rules, and troubleshooting procedures.
Design and manage data solutions using Microsoft Azure services such as Azure Databricks, Data Lake Storage, Synapse Analytics, SQL Database, and Data Factory.
Perform complex data modeling and transformations using advanced SQL.
Automate workflows and data wrangling through Python scripting and PowerShell automation.
Monitor system performance, diagnose issues, and ensure compliance using Azure Monitor and Azure Security Centre.
Implement data security measures including RBAC and encryption standards within Azure environments.
Catalogue, classify, and govern enterprise data using Microsoft Purview.
Requirements
Ability to design and manage data solutions using Microsoft Azure services including Azure Databricks, Data Lake Storage ADLS, Synapse Analytics, SQL Database, and Data Factory.
Capability to design and optimise data models and perform complex transformations using advanced SQL.
Ability to automate workflows, wrangle data, and integrate solutions with Databricks notebooks through robust Python scripting.
Proficiency in automation of Azure resource management and configuration using PowerShell scripts.
Ability to monitor performance, diagnose issues, and ensure compliance through Azure Monitor and Azure Security Centre.
Expertise in implementing Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and application of encryption standards to secure data within Azure environments.
Ability to catalogue, classify, and govern enterprise data for compliance and discovery using Microsoft Purview.
Experience in owning and managing all data instances across the organisation, including data collection, transformation, and storage.
