A senior, hands-on role responsible for strengthening and scaling people practices within a fast-growing renewable energy company, focusing on leadership support, policy implementation, workforce planning, and employee relations to enable organizational growth and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and enable the People Partnering function to ensure consistency, judgment, and pace.
Act as the primary escalation point for complex, sensitive, or ambiguous people matters.
Translate policy intent into practical processes, tools, systems, and ways of working for leaders.
Use data and qualitative insights to identify patterns and make grounded recommendations.
Partner on workforce planning, goals, and remuneration cycle execution with commercial judgment.
Operationalize and execute people risk, compliance, and governance frameworks.
Apply employee relations judgment to strengthen capability and confidence within the team.
Requirements
Senior People or HR partnering experience, with sound employee relations judgement
Strong cognitive agility, with the ability to connect dots quickly, pull signal from noise, and communicate a clear point of view
Experience translating policy intent into practical processes, tools, systems, and ways of working that leaders can use
Ability to use data and qualitative insight to spot patterns early and form clear, grounded recommendations
Experience partnering on workforce planning, goals, and remuneration cycle execution, bringing commercial judgement to people decisions
Ability to operationalise and execute people risk, compliance, and governance frameworks through disciplined follow-through across People Partnering
Ability to apply employee relations, industrial relations, and judgement when needed to strengthen capability and confidence across the function
Experience leading, coaching, and enabling the People Partnering function to lift consistency, judgement, and pace across the team
Experience acting as the primary escalation point for complex, sensitive, or ambiguous people matters
Experience working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to operate at pace and make decisions quickly
Experience working in a hybrid work environment, with the ability to work effectively both in-office and remotely
Experience working from either Melbourne or Sydney is preferred
Demonstrated ability to design and implement human-centred, practical, usable, and scalable people practices
Ability to reflect, learn, share, and connect meaningfully as part of a collaborative People team
