Job Description

The role involves leading the strategy, development, and execution of Affinity's core AI platform capabilities, enabling product teams to build intelligent solutions that enhance workflows and deliver AI-powered experiences for private capital professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of core AI platform services including semantic search, AI guardrails, agentic frameworks, and recommendation models.
  • Own the vision for a modern AI platform that enables product teams to build intelligent solutions and drive innovation.
  • Design APIs, abstractions, and developer experiences to facilitate AI integration for product teams.
  • Establish guardrails and governance frameworks to ensure AI capabilities are safe, reliable, and aligned with responsible AI principles.
  • Collaborate with engineering, science, and design teams to discover, define, and deliver platform capabilities that achieve measurable business outcomes.

Requirements

  • Six years of product management experience, with at least three years at a B2B SaaS company.
  • Experience leveraging complex technology to create delightful product solutions and leveraging AI/ML to drive insights and recommendations.
  • Experience working on zero-to-one products, or leading experiment-based concepts and prototyping quickly to validate ideas before development.
  • Experience collaborating closely with engineering, AI/ML, and design teams end-to-end to drive business impact.
  • Strong communication skills that foster cross-team collaboration and ensure alignment on key outcomes and objectives.
  • Deep understanding and empathy for users.
  • Deep interest in how technology can unlock the power of professional networks and transform private capital investing, with enthusiasm for Affinity’s mission.
  • Ability to define and drive the vision for a modern AI platform that serves as the foundation for product innovation across the company.
  • Ownership of a portfolio of high-impact capabilities including semantic search, AI guardrails, agentic frameworks, and similarity and recommendation models.
  • Designing APIs, abstractions, and developer experiences that make it easy for product teams to integrate sophisticated AI into their solutions.
  • Establishing guardrails and governance frameworks to ensure AI capabilities are safe, reliable, and aligned with responsible AI principles.
  • Evaluating build-vs-buy decisions and staying ahead of emerging technologies and best practices in AI.
  • Partnering closely with engineering, applied science, and design teams to lead discovery, definition, and delivery of platform capabilities that drive measurable business outcomes.

Compensation/salary range: 176,000 to 220,000 CAD
