Job Description
A leadership role overseeing the development and scaling of customer-facing features for Affinity's CRM platform, combining hands-on engineering with team management, technical roadmap definition, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver high-quality, scalable SaaS solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Define the technical roadmap and oversee the development of customer-facing features for the core CRM product.
- Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing engineering team responsible for application development and data models.
- Collaborate with Product Management and Design to develop the product roadmap.
- Ensure the delivery of reliable and high-quality user experiences through iterative development cycles.
- Lead Agile processes including daily standups, sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives.
- Contribute actively to building features and driving complex technical discussions on architecture and design.
- Identify team gaps and create processes to support team success and growth.
- Hire additional engineers to scale the team and meet project goals.
Requirements
- Have 10 years of experience working in a full-stack software engineering role, building scalable web applications with large volumes of data and rich visualizations.
- Have 5 years in an engineering management role or technical leadership role, providing mentorship and coaching in a formal setting.
- Have experience leading high-performing engineering teams.
- Have experience working with complex SaaS platforms.
- Have excellent communication skills.
- Take pride in delivering an exceptionally high-quality product in terms of the functionality provided to consumers, as well as the platform’s overall performance and reliability.
- Be passionate about helping engineers at all levels develop new skills and advance their careers.
- Be eager to work collaboratively within engineering and across functional teams.
- Be willing to contribute ideas and experiences to help continuously improve the product and company.
Benefits & Perks
Compensation/salary range: 196,000 to 245,000 CAD
