Job Description

The role involves leading innovative search engine optimization strategies, including the transition to Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), to enhance how private capital professionals discover and engage with Affinity's platform through traditional and AI-powered search channels, while managing website performance and leveraging AI tools for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the transition from traditional SEO to Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) for AI-powered platforms.
  • Develop and implement innovative SEO strategies to attract high-intent prospects in private capital markets.
  • Create structured, authoritative content optimized for AI citation as definitive answers.
  • Optimize website performance for conversion, speed, and user experience, including website testing and iteration.
  • Manage technical SEO aspects such as site architecture, redirects, XML sitemaps, and Core Web Vitals.
  • Make direct updates to the Webflow website, including page creation, layout modifications, and CMS management.
  • Implement advanced Webflow features like dynamic content and custom interactions.
  • Utilize AI tools for keyword research, content optimization, competitor analysis, and performance insights.
  • Monitor and analyze SEO and AEO metrics, including organic traffic, keyword rankings, and AI citations.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to produce SEO-optimized, AEO-ready content.
  • Experiment with and test emerging search technologies and optimization techniques.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of SEO experience with a proven track record of driving organic traffic growth in B2B SaaS or similar industries
  • Proficiency in Webflow, with the ability to build pages, modify layouts, and manage CMS content independently
  • Knowledge of Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and AI search optimization, including understanding how to optimize for ChatGPT, Perplexity, and other answer engines
  • Technical SEO skills including schema markup, site speed optimization, and crawlability management
  • Advanced Webflow development skills including CMS setup, dynamic content, and custom code integration
  • Proficiency with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, and emerging AEO tracking tools
  • Expertise in AI tools for content optimization, keyword research, and competitive analysis
  • Basic HTML and CSS knowledge for implementing technical optimizations and troubleshooting
  • Conversion-focused approach with understanding that traffic means nothing without quality leads and conversions
  • Experience designing and executing A/B tests and optimization experiments
  • Ability to collaborate with content teams on SEO-optimized, AEO-ready content
  • Willingness to learn industry terminology and buying behaviors related to private capital markets
  • Experience with website performance optimization, including managing site architecture, redirects, XML sitemaps, and Core Web Vitals
  • Ability to make direct changes to Webflow sites, including new pages, layout modifications, and CMS updates
  • Experience with implementing advanced Webflow features such as dynamic content, conditional visibility, and custom interactions
  • Experience with tracking and optimizing for traditional SEO metrics and AEO visibility indicators
  • Ability to monitor brand mentions across AI platforms and conversational search results
  • Experience building dashboards to track organic traffic, keyword rankings, featured snippet captures, and AI citation frequency
  • Conducting regular technical audits and competitive analysis to identify optimization opportunities
  • Strong strategic mindset with a conversion-focused approach and an experimentation mindset
  • Ability to leverage AI extensively for keyword research, content optimization, competitor analysis, and performance insights
  • Self-directed learner with a commitment to staying current with rapidly evolving search landscape
  • Cross-functional collaboration skills for working with marketing, product, and content teams

Compensation/salary range: $66,400 - $99,630 USD base, dependent on experience and location
Work location flexibility: Remote, with optional hybrid model in San Francisco or New York (2-3 days in-office)
