Job Description
Aeva is seeking a Photonics Packaging Engineer to develop and integrate photonics components for advanced LiDAR sensors used in autonomous vehicles, robotics, and other applications, focusing on delivering innovative sensing solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver photonics solutions to various product lines
- Integrate photonics components into LiDAR sensor modules
- Collaborate across functions to ensure successful photonics integration
Requirements
- Experience in delivering photonics to various product lines with cross functional expertise.
- Proficiency in photonics integration engineering, including design, development, and implementation of photonics components.
- Ability to work with silicon photonics technology and integrate key LiDAR components onto a silicon photonics chip.
- Experience in developing and delivering photonics solutions for products related to autonomous driving, industrial robotics, consumer electronics, consumer health, or security sectors.
- Strong understanding of LiDAR technology, specifically related to 4D LiDAR sensors that detect 3D position and instant velocity.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines and product teams to deliver photonics solutions.
