Job Description
Aeva is seeking a Photonics Packaging Engineer to develop and integrate photonics components into various products, supporting advanced LiDAR sensor technology for autonomous and robotic applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver photonics solutions to various product lines
- Integrate photonics components into LiDAR sensor modules
- Collaborate across functions to ensure successful photonics integration
Requirements
- Experience in delivering photonics to various product lines, demonstrating cross functional expertise in photonics integration.
- Proficiency in integrating key LiDAR components onto silicon photonics chips for compact modules.
- Ability to contribute to the development and deployment of photonics solutions for autonomous devices such as vehicles and robots.
- Experience with photonics packaging engineering, including design, assembly, and testing of photonics modules.
- Knowledge of photonics fabrication processes and materials used in silicon photonics integration.
- Strong understanding of optical and electronic component interfacing within photonics systems.
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary environment involving optics, electronics, and systems engineering.
- Educational background in Photonics, Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of a Bachelor's degree (implied, as specific degree requirements are not explicitly stated but are standard for engineering roles).
