Job Description
A supply chain specialist supporting sourcing, supplier management, and strategic procurement activities for autonomous vehicle hardware and software components, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality delivery of critical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and participate in supplier engagements, including contract execution, commercial discussions, escalations, and performance tracking.
- Assist with strategic sourcing and execution for vehicle systems, compute hardware, autonomy components, and IT infrastructure.
- Support negotiation of commercial terms and develop deal structuring skills.
- Monitor vendor performance, identify root-cause issues, and assist in driving corrective actions.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to support new design production, address material availability, and ensure build readiness.
- Contribute to initiatives aimed at improving supplier quality, mitigating risk, and reducing total cost of ownership.
- Apply data, market research, and should-cost analysis to inform sourcing decisions and stakeholder communication.
Requirements
- 4 to 8 years of experience in supply chain management, strategic sourcing, or supplier development, ideally in hardware-focused environments such as automotive, consumer electronics, or robotics.
- Experience supporting supplier negotiations and commercial agreements, with a desire to grow into greater ownership over time.
- Track record of contributing to supplier relationships and cross-functional programs across multiple teams and timelines.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes for components such as compute systems, precision machined parts, enclosures, wiring, sensors, or autonomous systems.
- Experience supporting or understanding commercial models for enterprise software, cloud, or IT services is a plus.
- Ability to operate comfortably in ambiguous, fast-changing environments where technical requirements evolve quickly.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work well across teams, ask the right questions, and follow through without needing heavy direction.
- Detail-oriented and analytically driven, with a commitment to data-informed decision-making.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally to support supplier relationships and program execution.
