The Senior Supply Base Engineer is responsible for leading technical assessments, establishing manufacturing processes, and supporting the scaling of supply chain operations for clean energy products, ensuring seamless transition from prototyping to high-volume production in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the technical assessment and qualification of suppliers to ensure manufacturing capabilities, quality systems, and technical risks are met.
Establish and scale manufacturing processes for product ramp-up and future R&D pathways.
Collaborate with suppliers and R&D teams to optimize designs for high-volume manufacturing, performance, and cost efficiency.
Oversee the setup and qualification of manufacturing equipment, jigs, fixtures, and test systems.
Develop and implement SOPs and quality control protocols to ensure manufacturing quality and reliability.
Manage the technical ramp of new products, including process flow, quality standards, and troubleshooting manufacturing issues.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or related fields
At least 7 years of experience in manufacturing operations, with a minimum of 3 years in the clean energy, energy storage, solar, or advanced hardware space
Deep understanding of manufacturing processes relevant to Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and solar energy
Experience supporting full New Product Introduction (NPI) process from prototype through EVT, DVT, and PVT phases to ensure successful product launch
Proven expertise in designing and implementing quality control processes
Strong understanding of both mechanical and electrical systems
Experience working with engineering and manufacturers to refine designs for manufacturability, and timely and cost-effective execution
Ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels
Proven ability to operate in early-stage environments and scale processes rapidly
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with excellent attention to detail
Willingness to travel up to 40% domestically and internationally
