The Mechatronics Engineer will lead the design, development, and validation of robotics solutions for solar energy sites, focusing on improving performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness within a fast-growing clean energy company.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, validation, and certification of mechatronic solutions for solar PV systems and sites.
Oversee development of robotics platforms for panel cleaning, inspection, and vegetation management.
Evaluate and adapt off-the-shelf solutions for project-specific technical needs.
Coordinate with engineering, construction, and maintenance teams to define requirements, timelines, and objectives.
Prepare detailed system designs to meet project goals and initiatives.
Develop and oversee testing programs to validate concepts and designs in lab and field settings.
Stay current with industry standards and regulations related to site needs.
Support other engineering tasks and duties as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical, or Robotics Engineering.
Proven track record of robotics development and design engineering capabilities.
Strong communication and organizational skills with ability to lead cross-disciplinary teams.
Proficient in Solidworks with ability to create component and assembly models and drawings.
Experience with Microcontrollers, ROS, Arduino or similar controllers and coding language for typical mechatronic applications.
Experience with AI and Machine Learning in Mechatronic applications.
Comfortable working in a high paced startup environment.
