The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will lead the technical aspects of manufacturing at supplier sites, overseeing process development, supplier assessment, and scaling production for clean energy products such as solar and energy storage systems, ensuring successful product launches and high-volume manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
Lead technical assessments and establish manufacturing processes at supplier sites to support scaling from prototyping to high-volume production.
Collaborate with Global Supply Managers to define supply chain requirements and evaluate supplier capabilities and risks.
Partner with suppliers to optimize designs for manufacturability, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
Oversee manufacturing development and production ramp-up, ensuring quality, reliability, and process flow standards are met.
Develop and maintain SOPs, quality control protocols, and test equipment for manufacturing processes.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or related fields
At least 7 years of experience in manufacturing operations, with a minimum of 3 years in the clean energy, energy storage, solar, or advanced hardware space
Deep understanding of manufacturing processes relevant to Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and solar energy
Experience supporting full New Product Introduction (NPI) process from prototype through EVT, DVT, and PVT phases to ensure successful product launch
Proven expertise in designing and implementing quality control processes
Strong understanding of both mechanical and electrical systems
Experience working with engineering and manufacturers to refine designs for manufacturability, and timely and cost-effective execution
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels across the organization
Proven ability to operate in early-stage environments and scale processes rapidly
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with excellent attention to detail
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 40%
