Job Description
The role involves leading the development and quality oversight of technical documentation for large, complex healthcare projects, ensuring compliance and effective collaboration among project teams. The successful candidate will manage quality review processes, engage in risk assessment, and guide project staff in achieving high standards of quality and compliance.
Responsibilities
- •Lead the development, assembly, and quality oversight of technical documentation for projects.
- •Manage and monitor integrated quality review processes for all project disciplines.
- •Coordinate critical information on project status and potential risks with project leaders.
- •Develop and implement a strategy for continuous proactive quality engagement.
- •Schedule and coordinate staffing for quality reviews across all disciplines.
- •Engage in the project Risk Assessment process and provide updates.
- •Identify, communicate, mitigate, and resolve project-related issues.
- •Guide the development and updates of the Project Quality Plan.
- •Review and guide the planning of phase drawing document deliverables.
- •Implement firm technical document standards and CA policies.
- •Monitor work in progress to ensure compliance with process standards.
- •Assist Project Architects with Life Safety, Building, and Energy Code compliance.
- •Monitor coordination progress among all disciplines and consultants.
- •Track overall project metrics to identify potential risk issues.
- •Schedule and manage phase quality reviews and engage project reviewers.
- •Participate in Business Development activities and collaborate with leadership.
- •Contribute to the capture and reuse of institutional knowledge.
- •Write technical articles on quality subjects for publication.
- •Guide and mentor project staff to foster continuous quality improvement.
Requirements
- •Minimum Bachelor degree in a relevant field required.
- •Minimum 12 years of related professional experience.
- •Experience includes 5 years in increasingly responsible roles in construction documentation on healthcare projects and at least 3 years in a responsible role in construction administration on large healthcare projects.
- •Experience leading all technical aspects with production teams on large, complex projects of more than 200M construction costs required.
- •Must have experience designing, documenting, coordinating and administering the construction of significant healthcare projects.
- •Expertise in healthcare codes, standards and familiarity with proven solutions to address often wildly conflicting requirements between building authorities, client needs, construction technologies and insurance provisions is essential.
- •Current Architectural Registration in the United States and the ability to obtain Architectural Registration in New York State required.
- •Must be able to lead large, complex or multiple projects.
- •Must have strong subject matter expertise.
- •Must possess strong business acumen.
- •Demonstrated focus on quality.
- •Strong technical leadership with knowledge of building codes and requirements.
- •Must have the ability to be client facing with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- •Strong coordination skills and the ability to build a rapport with the project team and client is essential.
- •Familiarity with Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and construction management software.
