Job Description
The Systems Engineer POC Cloud role involves deploying Pure Cloud technology within the GSI partner ecosystem, focusing on proof-of-concept (POC) engagements to support sales growth. The position requires expertise in public cloud solutions, hands-on technical skills, and the ability to effectively present and consult with customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Proof-of-Concept (POC) deployments of PURE Cloud Block Store (CBS).
- Consult and advise on Public Cloud architecture, management, design, and implementation.
- Configure Cloud resources and translate solution architectures into functional environments.
- Develop and present Reference Test Plans to validate PURE Cloud solutions.
- Manage POC staging time for test plan refinement and configuration adjustments.
- Support POC project workshops through preparation, presentation, and technical management.
- Provide consultative support for sales teams and customers on proof-of-concept test plans.
- Present test methodologies and results aligned with customer requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 8-10 years experience in enterprise cloud architecture in medium to large companies
- Professional certification in AWS Azure, EG Azure Solutions Architect Expert or AWS Solutions Architect Professional
- Strong understanding of cloud computing technologies, business drivers, and emerging computing trends
- Proficient in Public Cloud Services, e.g., Azure Active Directory, Azure Virtual Machines, Azure App Services, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Purview, Azure Private Link Private Endpoint, and Azure SQL Database
- Experience with cloud security, networking, and disaster recovery best practices
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates or Terraform
- Experience with network security best practices and configurations
- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, and lead presentations, training courses, and effective meetings
