Job Description
The role is for a full stack Software Engineer at Samsara, focusing on developing features for their safety event platform that integrates IoT data and AI to enhance safe driving behaviors. The position involves collaborating with a team to design, build, and maintain scalable software solutions that have a direct impact on customer safety and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop features for the safety event platform.
- Solve complex problems and own the success of solutions.
- Communicate and collaborate with engineers, product managers, and support teams.
- Build skills across a range of technologies including Go, GraphQL, Typescript, React, and MySQL.
- Own the operational health of production systems.
- Utilize logs and metrics to track and investigate bugs.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in software development.
- Experience shipping features that are used by customers and iterate on customer feedback to inform what to deliver next.
- Strong communication skills and a desire to collaborate.
- A growth mindset and excitement around building new skills and expertise.
- Should be a quick learner and operate with minimum supervision.
- Comfort with building out end-to-end solutions.
- Assist in maintaining the production systems your team owns and provide operational support when necessary.
- Utilize logs and metrics for tracking down and investigating bugs, ensuring the robustness and reliability of our systems.

Compensation/salary range: 89,547.50 - 150,500 USD
