Job Description
The Battery Test Engineer at e-Zinc will be responsible for conducting hands-on testing of zinc-air battery cells, analyzing and reporting test data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support product development in the renewable energy sector.
Responsibilities
- •Conduct standard testing on zinc-air battery cells, including charge-discharge cycles, while collecting relevant data.
- •Work directly with technicians to execute hands-on testing and document testing incidents and observations.
- •Collect, analyze, and report test data ensuring accuracy and reliability.
- •Participate in or lead structured problem-solving activities to identify root causes and drive issue resolution.
- •Evaluate non-standard test requests and recommend changes to the test flow.
- •Ensure all testing activities align with acceptance criteria and maintain objectivity in reporting.
- •Maintain and calibrate test equipment to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
- •Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development and validation.
- •Adhere to safety protocols and industry best practices in battery module testing.
Requirements
- •Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.
- •Prior experience in testing electro-mechanical systems, battery modules, or battery packs.
- •Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in methodologies like 8D, Red-X, Six Sigma, etc.
- •Proficiency in data acquisition, analysis, and reporting tools.
- •Ability to interpret engineering specifications and develop test plans accordingly.
- •Knowledge of safety standards and best practices related to battery testing.
- •Familiarity with environmental and mechanical stress testing of batteries.
- •Knowledge of automation in battery testing and data logging systems.
- •Comfortable working with various dangerous materials, including corrosive liquids.
- •Adhere to safety protocols and industry best practices in battery module testing.
