Job Description
The Senior Manager, Business Applications Engineering at Samsara will lead transformational initiatives across business and IT, managing a team to enhance system capabilities for Finance, Accounting, and Supply Chain, while driving automation and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- •Manage the Business System Engineering team in Bengaluru.
- •Build and deliver future-state system capabilities for Finance, Accounting, and Supply Chain.
- •Lead the Automation Center of Excellence for GenAI, Robotic Processing Bot, and workflow automation.
- •Work with internal stakeholders to gain alignment and establish metrics for initiative ROI.
- •Support the transition to Agile as Business Systems move to a product-based organization.
- •Perform people management functions including performance reviews, recruiting, and career development.
- •Own requirements and solutioning, establishing funding and resource plans.
- •Partner with IT and Engineering Managers to manage interdependencies and leverage expertise.
- •Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences and deliver engaging presentations.
- •Review program requirements and deployment plans, providing recommendations for improvement.
- •Track productivity and quality metrics, proposing creative ideas for continuous improvement.
- •Champion and embed Samsara's cultural principles within the team.
- •Hire, develop, and lead an inclusive, engaged, and high-performing team.
Requirements
- •10 years of relevant experience in software engineering, and/or product development or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- •Experience in implementing NetSuite ERP applications that provide great Customer and User Experience.
- •5 years of managerial leadership experience.
- •Experience supporting and driving operational excellence and run-the-business activities.
- •Ability to manage a multi-disciplinary team and succeed in partnering and driving virtual globally distributed teams with proven knowledge in depth and experience leveraging agile development practices (Scrum, Pivotal Labs, SAFE, etc.) while assigning roles and coaching employees for optimal team performance dynamics.
- •Demonstrated accomplishments managing projects and software development delivery teams working with diverse technology stacks (custom development, package integration) in the delivery of large-scale and complex projects.
- •Notable oral and written communication skills, remarkable analytic, problem-solving, negotiation, and prioritization skills.
- •Experience leading cross-functional agile teams using appropriate measures and KPIs to validate and report on software quality and ensuring quality is driven into the heart of the development process from requirements definition through to delivery.
