Job Description

A Warehouse Operator at Zeeco is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing materials, operating equipment such as forklifts, maintaining organization and safety in the warehouse, and supporting overall logistics operations to ensure efficient material handling and storage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Count, weigh, and verify incoming and outgoing materials
  • Attach identifying tags or labels to materials
  • Stock items in designated warehouse locations
  • Remove samples of materials and label them
  • Load and unload materials using manual and powered equipment
  • Convey materials to and from storage or work sites
  • Keep work area clean and organized
  • Complete daily tasks efficiently and safely
  • Operate forklift and other warehouse equipment as needed
  • Maintain safety standards and proper handling of tools and equipment

Requirements

  • Must possess sufficient interpersonal skills to effectively interact with persons inside and outside of the Company.
  • Must be able to work under stress and handle multiple priorities and still meet deadlines.
  • Must have the ability to perform mathematical calculations related to job requirements.
  • Must be able to maintain and process job-related paperwork effectively.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively.
  • Must be able to operate a Computer, telephone, and other office equipment.
  • Must be able to go up and down stairs.
  • Must not present a risk of injury to self or others while engaged in Company duties.
  • Must be able to work overtime as required.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Must have transportation to and from work.
  • Complete computer skills with the ability to learn company-specific software.
  • Count, weigh, and verify the number of units of incoming and outgoing material.
  • Attach identifying tags or labels to material as required.
  • Stock items in their assigned warehouse locations.
  • Remove samples of materials and label with identifying information.
  • Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
  • Convey materials to or from storage or work sites to designated area, using hand truck, electric dolly, wheelbarrow, or other device.
  • Lift heavy objects using power hoist, pallet jack, or electric stand-up lift.
  • Keep work area clean and organized.
  • Complete daily tasks with a sense of urgency.
  • Flexible and able to change job tasks as needed.
  • Respect and care for company tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Perform work in a manner that keeps employee safe at all times.
  • Forklift operator license preferred.
