Job Description
The Structural Civil Mechanical Engineer at Zeeco is responsible for designing mechanical equipment such as piping assemblies, pressure vessels, and steel stacks for both permanent and temporary installations, supporting the company's rapid response and rental services through technical design, analysis, and collaboration with global teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and check structural calculations for mechanical equipment such as piping assemblies, pressure vessels, and steel stacks.
- Provide technical support and responses for structural-related items within an engineering team.
- Communicate with project teams to ensure designs use readily available materials and are easy to fabricate.
- Assist applications engineers with structural topics for ongoing quotes.
- Prepare and report structural design packages clearly and efficiently.
- Act as a technical liaison with US and global colleagues.
- Present technical information on structural subjects to colleagues.
- Use first principles to resolve engineering challenges.
- Identify and improve areas of waste and inefficiency in structural design processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering Civil, Mechanical, or Architectural Engineering (preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years experience in Structural Design or an equivalent design role.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Aptitude to interpret specifications.
- Fluent in Microsoft Suite Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Professional Engineering License or willingness to obtain one.
