Job Description
The Instrument and Controls Engineer - Vapor is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining instrumentation and control systems for combustion and environmental solutions, supporting industries such as oil and gas, petrochemicals, and power generation. The role involves technical excellence, collaboration, and contributing to innovative projects within a global leader in environmental technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, engineer, and troubleshoot instrumentation and control systems for vapor combustion and environmental solutions.
- Develop and implement control strategies for burners, incinerators, and environmental control systems.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate instrumentation and controls into project designs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in instrumentation and controls engineering, specifically in designing, engineering, or supporting control systems for combustion, incinerators, or environmental control systems.
- Proficiency in designing and developing control system schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts.
- Experience with control system programming, configuration, and troubleshooting using industry-standard software and hardware platforms.
- Knowledge of industry standards and codes related to instrumentation and controls, such as IEC, NFPA, and NEC.
- Ability to interpret and review technical specifications, datasheets, and engineering drawings related to instrumentation and control systems.
- Experience in integrating control systems with burners, incinerators, or environmental control equipment.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and environmental compliance requirements relevant to combustion and environmental systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical issues related to instrumentation and controls.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support project execution.
- Physical ability to work in an industrial environment, including the ability to access control panels, perform field inspections, and work in confined spaces if required.
