Job Description
The Instrument and Controls Engineer - Flares is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining instrumentation and control systems for flare applications, supporting Zeeco's combustion and environmental solutions in a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, engineer, and develop instrumentation and control systems for flare applications
- Specify and select appropriate control components and instrumentation
- Perform testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of control systems
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and industry standards in control system design
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in instrumentation and controls engineering, specifically related to flare systems or combustion systems.
- Proven experience in designing, engineering, and troubleshooting instrumentation and control systems for flare applications.
- Knowledge of industry standards and codes related to instrumentation and controls in combustion and environmental systems.
- Ability to develop control system specifications, perform control logic programming, and validate control system performance.
- Experience with control system hardware such as PLCs, DCS, and safety instrumented systems used in flare and combustion systems.
- Strong understanding of safety standards and safety instrumented systems (SIS) applicable to flare and combustion systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex control system issues.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
- Physical ability to work in an office environment and perform site visits as required.
