Job Description
The Instrument and Controls Engineer - Flares is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining control systems for flare operations, supporting the company's mission to deliver innovative combustion and environmental solutions across various industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, engineer, and troubleshoot instrument and control systems for flare applications
- Develop and implement control strategies for combustion and environmental systems
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure proper integration of instrumentation and controls
Requirements
- Proven experience in designing, engineering, and commissioning instrumentation and control systems for flare systems or similar combustion and environmental control systems.
- Ability to develop and review control logic, control schemes, and instrumentation layouts specific to flare applications.
- Experience in integrating instrumentation and controls with safety systems and compliance standards relevant to the oil and gas, petrochemical, or power generation industries.
- Strong understanding of industry standards and regulations related to instrumentation and controls for environmental and safety compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues related to instrumentation and control systems in operational environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related technical field.
- A minimum of [insert specific number, e.g., 3] years of professional experience working with instrumentation and control systems in relevant industries.
- Experience working with control system software and hardware, including PLCs, DCS, or similar control platforms.
- Ability to produce detailed technical documentation, including control schematics, wiring diagrams, and validation reports.
