Job Description
A senior-level role focused on designing, developing, and maintaining modern React-based web applications for the banking and financial services sector, ensuring security, performance, and compliance while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain React-based web applications ensuring security, performance, and compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business and regulatory requirements into technical solutions.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable front-end code following best practices and standards.
- Ensure applications meet non-functional requirements such as security, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Work with QA and automation teams to achieve high test coverage and production readiness.
- Support and troubleshoot production systems, diagnose issues, and communicate with stakeholders during incidents.
- Contribute to technical documentation and share system knowledge within the team.
- Stay updated with modern front-end technologies and promote continuous improvement within the engineering team.
Requirements
- 7 years of professional experience in front-end development, with strong hands-on experience using React.
- Excellent knowledge of JavaScript ES6, TypeScript, HTML, and modern CSS.
- Strong experience building single-page applications and working with RESTful APIs.
- Experience with modern React patterns such as hooks, component composition, and state management.
- Solid understanding of secure web application development, particularly in regulated environments.
- Experience ensuring accessibility according to WCAG standards and cross-browser compatibility.
- Experience with front-end testing, including unit and/or integration testing.
- Proficiency with Git and modern development workflows.
- Experience working in Agile Scrum teams.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with product managers, business stakeholders, designers, backend engineers, and vendors to translate business and regulatory requirements into technical solutions.
- Ability to build clean, maintainable, and testable front-end code following best practices and established development standards.
- Support production systems by diagnosing and resolving issues within defined SLAs and communicating clearly with stakeholders when incidents arise.
- Contribute to technical documentation and ensure system knowledge is shared across the team.
