Job Description
A Senior Software Engineer specializing in Java backend development, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable microservices and distributed systems within the banking sector, while collaborating with cross-functional teams and providing technical leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop solutions addressing business requirements.
- Design and implement new software components and functionalities.
- Manage project tasks, providing status updates to stakeholders.
- Coordinate testing efforts and develop automated test scripts.
- Evaluate and integrate third-party technologies and solutions.
- Develop secure, maintainable, and robust technical solutions following best practices.
- Create and review technical documentation, standards, and guidelines.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
Requirements
- 8 years of professional backend engineering experience with Java J2EE and related JVM technologies.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Spring ecosystem including Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and Spring Integration.
- Proven experience designing technical solutions from business requirements, including making pragmatic architecture decisions.
- Solid track record in building and maintaining microservices and distributed systems.
- Strong understanding of HTTP protocols and designing consuming REST APIs.
- Experience implementing web application security best practices such as secure coding, authentication and authorization (authN authZ), and OWASP awareness.
- Strong SQL and RDBMS skills with Oracle, MySQL, or equivalent databases.
- Proficiency with Git, modern IDEs, and collaborative development workflows.
- Working knowledge of Linux environments.
- Experience working in Agile teams with shared ownership and iterative delivery.
