Job Description
A full-time, in-office accounting leadership role responsible for overseeing financial operations, reporting, and controls for a rapidly growing renewable energy company focused on solar projects and asset management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the monthly close process and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Oversee accounts payable and core accounting operations
- Manage accounting across multiple project-level entities (SPVs)
- Lead annual audits and coordinate with external auditors
- Analyze and reconcile large, complex datasets across systems
- Design and implement scalable financial processes, controls, and systems
Requirements
- You are a CPA and have 5-7 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally with a background that includes both audit experience and financial services.
- Proficiency in Excel and working with large amounts of data.
- Ability to work autonomously with an inquisitive auditor mindset.
- High level of organization, ability to stay on top of changing goals and priorities, and strong project management skills.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality of data.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment with ambiguity and pivot quickly when needed.
- Willingness to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment with a team-oriented ethos.
- Ability to find effective solutions to complex problems and streamline processes to increase efficiency.

Salary range of $150,000 - $170,000 per year plus stock options
