The Water Wastewater Treatment Project Manager oversees the daily operations, maintenance, and management of water and wastewater treatment facilities, ensuring compliance, process optimization, staff development, and effective communication with clients and regulatory agencies.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day operations and maintenance of water, wastewater, and reclaimed water facilities.
Oversee staff of 8 employees in operational and maintenance activities.
Coordinate and communicate with clients, regulators, contractors, and engineering firms.
Implement and manage predictive maintenance programs.
Administer and execute routine and capital repair and replacement projects.
Respond to emergencies such as process upsets, equipment failures, and alarm events.
Prepare compliance and operational reports for regulators, clients, and the firm.
Manage project budget, scope, and schedule of contractual obligations.
Collaborate on system optimization, staff development, and future planning.
Requirements
Possess a valid State of Florida Water and/or Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators license.
Ability to make sound decisions in process control and follow instructions, as well as follow safety procedures.
Between 5 to 10 years of experience in managing complex water and or wastewater facilities.
Experience overseeing an annual operating budget of 1.5 million dollars or more.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proven track record with regulators.
Ability to lift 40 pounds on a regular basis.
Successful candidates will be required to complete a background check, pre-placement physical, and drug screen before employment.
