Job Description

The Water Wastewater Maintenance Technician is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing mechanical and electrical systems at water and wastewater treatment facilities, ensuring efficient operation and compliance with environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect, maintain, and repair mechanical and electrical systems and equipment such as pumps, motors, VFDs, valves, piping, blowers, and chemical feed systems.
  • Troubleshoot issues at lift stations, remote pump stations, and other water infrastructure.
  • Support the operation of water and wastewater treatment facilities to ensure efficient performance and compliance.

Requirements

  • Ability to support the operation and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment facilities, including inspecting, maintaining, and repairing mechanical and electrical systems and equipment essential to the treatment process.
  • Experience in troubleshooting issues at lift stations, remote pump stations, and other infrastructure critical to water quality and environmental protection.
  • Proficiency in working with mechanical and electrical systems such as pumps, motors, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), valves, piping, blowers, and chemical feed systems.
  • Physical ability to work with hands, perform inspections, repairs, and troubleshooting on mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent educational background.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting, bending, and working in various weather conditions (implied by job duties, though not explicitly stated).
