A full-time Water Treatment and Distribution Operator responsible for the daily operation, maintenance, and monitoring of drinking water treatment and distribution systems, ensuring compliance and efficient plant performance in Adelanto, CA.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in daily operations and maintenance of drinking water treatment and distribution systems
Monitor and control water treatment processes to ensure compliance and safety
Respond to emergency situations and work in inclement weather as needed
Follow safety, operating, and emergency response procedures
Assist in maintaining and servicing groundwater wells, pipelines, reservoirs, pump stations, and treatment facilities
Participate in on-call rotation for system coverage outside normal hours
Requirements
Possession of a valid water treatment and distribution operator certification as required by the state of California or the relevant regulatory authority.
Ability to participate in an on-call rotation for system coverage outside normal work hours, including weekends, and respond to emergency situations as needed.
Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including inclement weather, and perform work in a safe and professional manner by following established safety, operating, and emergency response procedures.
Schedule availability to work a standard 5-day workweek, 8 hours per day, with rotation through a 7-day on-call coverage schedule, and accept a weekly on-call stipend of $200.
Experience in participating in daily process monitoring and comprehensive maintenance activities of drinking water treatment and distribution systems.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team of at least 5 operators and report to the Project Manager or System’s Chief Operator.
Physical ability to perform tasks related to the operation and maintenance of water treatment and distribution systems, including working outdoors and responding to emergency situations.
Commitment to maintaining 100% compliance with water treatment and distribution regulations through daily process monitoring and maintenance.
Willingness to work in accordance with established safety, operating, and emergency response procedures.
Legal authorization to work in the United States, as confirmed through participation in the E-Verify program.
