The Wastewater Treatment Operator is responsible for monitoring and operating wastewater treatment systems, performing laboratory tests, and maintaining equipment to ensure efficient and compliant treatment processes at a facility in Victorville, California.
Key Responsibilities
Control the processing of wastewater and effluent by regulating influent and effluent flows
Monitor the operation of wastewater treatment plant equipment
Assist with basic laboratory testing and sample collection
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on plant equipment
Requirements
Possession of a Grade 3 State of California Wastewater Treatment License in order to operate independently.
Work under the direct or general supervision of the Lead Operator and Plant Manager, learning and performing a variety of operational duties to control the processing of wastewater and effluent.
Regulate influent and effluent flows within the system and monitor the operation of a variety of wastewater treatment plant equipment.
Assist with basic laboratory testing, sample collection, and perform other related duties as assigned.
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance in support of the wastewater treatment plant.
Work schedule of four 10-hour shifts from 6am to 4pm, Sunday through Wednesday, after onboarding and training.
Work rotating standby on call, including weekends, with a $200 stipend provided for on-call time.
This position is eligible for a $2,500.00 sign-on bonus.
