Job Description
The Wastewater Treatment Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining a 1 MGD advanced wastewater treatment plant, focusing on laboratory analysis, process control, record keeping, and supporting maintenance and facility grounds, while ensuring compliance and participating in an on-call rotation.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain the wastewater treatment plant and related equipment
- Conduct laboratory analysis and monitor process control parameters
- Maintain accurate records of operations and compliance data
- Assist with maintenance projects and general facility and grounds upkeep
- Respond to emergency situations and work outside normal hours as part of on-call rotation
Requirements
- Operation and general maintenance of equipment at a 1 MGD advanced wastewater treatment facility.
- Primary focus on laboratory analysis, record keeping, and process control.
- Assisting with maintenance projects and general facility and grounds maintenance.
- Participation in an on call rotation for plant coverage outside normal workday hours, including weekends.
- Responding to emergency situations and working in inclement weather as needed.
- Working scheduled hours Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
