The Wastewater Treatment Operator is responsible for the daily operations and maintenance of wastewater treatment facilities, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and safety, while supporting environmental protection and community health.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in the daily operations and maintenance of wastewater treatment facilities.
Respond to emergency events and alarm call-outs as scheduled.
Work on-call and standby duties, including working evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Assist in ensuring treatment plant compliance with operational standards and regulations.
Requirements
Participation in the daily operations and maintenance of 2 Wastewater Treatment Facilities as directed by the Project Manager and Chief Operator.
Availability to work on a schedule from Tuesday to Saturday, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, with flexibility and extended shifts to meet seasonal demands of the wastewater system.
Reliable and dependable attendance is an essential function of the position.
Availability for standby duty and the ability to be on-call, working evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Response to emergency events and alarm call-outs as scheduled and required.
On-call duty with incentives of $200 for the week on call, and compensation of a minimum of 2 hours paid for each call-out received.
Possession or ability to obtain and maintain industry licenses and certifications, with employer reimbursement for earning, upgrading, and keeping these licenses and certifications.
Participation in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s E-Verify program to confirm employment eligibility.

Ability to work outdoors protecting water resources, with physical capability to participate in outdoor operational activities.
Ability to respond to emergency events and alarm call-outs as scheduled and required.
