The Wastewater Project Engineer is responsible for designing, overseeing, and managing water and wastewater treatment projects, including preparing technical documents, coordinating construction activities, and supporting project teams to deliver high-quality infrastructure solutions for municipal clients.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare design documents including calculation sheets, drawings, specifications, engineering reports, and contract documents for bidding and construction.
Oversee the construction of water and wastewater projects in the field.
Coordinate and mentor team members, and set project schedules.
Control the execution of project tasks to ensure timely completion.
Requirements
The candidate must have technical expertise in environmental engineering with an in-depth understanding of the engineering concepts associated with water and wastewater treatment.
The candidate must have direct experience with solids removal and handling, nutrient removal technologies, extended aeration facilities, membrane treatment equipment, pump selection and sizing, and process piping.
The candidate must have experience preparing design documents including calculation sheets, drawings, specifications, engineering reports, and contract documents for bidding and construction.
The candidate must have experience overseeing the construction of water and wastewater projects in the field.
The candidate must work in a project team setting and report to Project Managers and Technical Managers who provide project leadership and direction.
The candidate must have the ability to coordinate and mentor team members, set the project schedule, and control the execution of project tasks.
The candidate must be willing to travel up to 10% for local travel from the Tampa, Florida Office.
The candidate must have at least 3 years of relevant experience in water, wastewater, collection, and distribution projects.
The candidate must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, civil engineering, or a related field.
The candidate must participate in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s E-Verify program to confirm employment eligibility.
