The Wastewater Operations Maintenance Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining wastewater treatment facilities, including monitoring processes, performing repairs, sampling, and responding to emergencies to ensure compliance and efficient plant operation.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and maintain wastewater treatment plant and collection system, including remote pump stations
Perform mechanical, pumping, and electrical repairs around the facility
Monitor wastewater treatment processes and equipment manually and via SCADA
Conduct process control sampling, testing, and recordkeeping
Assist in operating treatment, mechanical, and electrical equipment and related facility components
Participate in on-call rotation for plant coverage outside normal hours and respond to emergency situations
Requirements
Experience with operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment plants and collections systems, including remote pump stations.
Utilize basic mechanical and pumping equipment repair skills to provide maintenance and repair around the facility.
Have experience with electrical systems to provide maintenance and repair around the facility.
Monitor wastewater treatment processes and equipment manually and via SCADA systems.
Perform process control sampling, testing, and recordkeeping related to wastewater treatment.
Utilize software programs for maintenance work orders and other assigned duties as directed by the Chief Operator.
Assist in the operation of assigned treatment, mechanical, and electrical equipment, and other related facility components, equipment, and processes.
Participate in an on-call rotation for plant coverage outside normal workday hours.
Work shifts that include weekends.
Respond to emergency situations and work in inclement weather as needed.
