Job Description
A leadership role focused on managing and delivering municipal stormwater engineering projects, including planning, design, permitting, and construction support, while mentoring junior staff and collaborating with clients and regulatory agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support engineering projects related to municipal stormwater systems, including planning, conceptual design, final design, permitting, construction, and closeout.
- Manage and mentor a team of junior staff members.
- Coordinate with local regulators to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Lead the technical delivery of multiple stormwater projects, including study, planning, and design of stormwater systems.
- Support marketing and proposal efforts to secure new projects.
Requirements
- Strong experience in study, planning, and design of stormwater systems, including familiarity with a broad range of issues related to master planning, water quality treatment, and flood mitigation resiliency.
- Ability to lead the technical delivery of multiple stormwater projects.
- Experience leading and supporting engineering on municipal stormwater projects.
- Experience with drinking water, wastewater, and industrial wastewater applications is valuable but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with local regulators related to stormwater projects.
- Ability to support marketing and proposal efforts, as appropriate.
- Experience in leading multi-disciplined project teams from planning and conceptual design through final design, permitting, construction, and closeout.
- Ability to mentor and collaborate with a team of junior staff.
- Location in Tampa, FL, with the ability to work in an office or hybrid schedule (1-2 days a week in office or on-site with clients).
- Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time with clients in Florida.
- Willingness to support occasional travel within the US to support national practice strategic initiatives.
