A senior environmental remediation engineer responsible for leading the design, evaluation, and delivery of remediation and restoration projects, primarily in complex industrial and mine site environments, while mentoring junior staff and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead remediation system selection, design, and evaluation for environmental projects
Provide technical support on remediation and mine site restoration projects
Oversee and ensure quality assurance and quality control of technical services across multiple projects
Mentor and develop project teams of engineers and scientists
Support marketing and proposal efforts for environmental remediation projects
Ensure compliance with local and federal environmental regulations
Collaborate with clients, regulators, and external consultants to deliver remediation solutions
Participate in delivery system improvement programs and lead practice initiatives
Requirements
The candidate must have technical experience to lead remediation system selection, design, and evaluation.
The candidate must have experience with investigation, remedial design, and restoration efforts associated with complex remediation and construction projects.
The candidate must have strong experience in providing environmental engineering support on remediation and mine site restoration projects throughout the Western United States.
The candidate must have experience with Superfund sites, former mine site reclamation remediation, oil and gas well closures, and interactions with regulators (preferred but not explicitly mandatory).
The candidate must be familiar with local and federal regulations relevant to environmental remediation projects.
The candidate must be able to lead the technical delivery and QA/QC of technical services on multiple projects.
The candidate must be able to develop, lead, and mentor project teams.
The candidate must have the ability to support marketing and proposal efforts.
The candidate must be a motivated, growth-oriented professional with an entrepreneurial spirit and a demonstrated focus on providing solutions to commercial and industrial clients using sound engineering practices.
The candidate must be willing to travel up to 20% within the continental US.
The candidate must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering, geology, environmental science, or a related field.
The candidate must be a strong communicator capable of working with diverse teams including client managers, project managers, external consultants, and internal staff.
The candidate must be able to participate actively in delivery system improvement programs and lead Practice initiatives.
