Job Description
The Maintenance Mechanic - Night Shift is responsible for operating and maintaining a wastewater treatment plant, performing process monitoring, adjustments, and basic mechanical repairs on equipment such as pumps, compressors, and valves, primarily working outdoors during overnight hours on a rotating schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain the wastewater treatment plant and related facilities
- Monitor and adjust process parameters to ensure efficient plant operation
- Perform basic mechanical repairs on pumps, compressors, valves, and other equipment
- Participate in daily operations and maintenance activities as directed by the plant manager
- Respond to emergency situations and work in inclement weather as needed
- Work on an on-call rotation for plant coverage outside normal hours
Requirements
- Experience performing basic mechanical repairs on pumps, compressors, valves, and related equipment.
- Ability to participate in the operation and maintenance of a wastewater treatment plant, including process monitoring and adjustments.
- Willingness to work in outdoor environments and respond to emergency situations as needed.
- Availability to work the night shift from 6:00 pm to 4:00 am, typically on a schedule of 8 days on followed by 6 days off, including weekends and holidays.
- Participation in an on-call rotation for plant coverage outside normal work hours.
- Ability to work in inclement weather conditions.
- High school diploma or equivalent educational background.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States (as confirmed through E-Verify participation).
