The Maintenance Mechanic - Night Shift is responsible for operating and maintaining a wastewater treatment plant, performing process monitoring, adjustments, and basic mechanical repairs on equipment such as pumps, compressors, and valves, primarily working outdoors during overnight hours on a rotating schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and maintain the wastewater treatment plant and related facilities
Monitor and adjust process parameters to ensure efficient plant operation
Perform basic mechanical repairs on pumps, compressors, valves, and other equipment
Participate in daily operations and maintenance activities as directed by the plant manager
Respond to emergency situations and work in inclement weather as needed
Work on an on-call rotation for plant coverage outside normal hours
Requirements
Experience performing basic mechanical repairs on pumps, compressors, valves, and related equipment.
Ability to participate in the operation and maintenance of a wastewater treatment plant, including process monitoring and adjustments.
Willingness to work in outdoor environments and respond to emergency situations as needed.
Availability to work the night shift from 6:00 pm to 4:00 am, typically on a schedule of 8 days on followed by 6 days off, including weekends and holidays.
Participation in an on-call rotation for plant coverage outside normal work hours.
Ability to work in inclement weather conditions.
High school diploma or equivalent educational background.
Legal authorization to work in the United States (as confirmed through E-Verify participation).
