Job Description
The Industrial Wastewater Treatment Operator supports the operation and maintenance of a wastewater treatment plant, focusing on process monitoring, equipment repairs, and ensuring safety, compliance, and high-quality water treatment for a food processing client in Worthington, Minnesota.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain the wastewater treatment plant and associated equipment.
- Monitor and adjust treatment processes to ensure safety, compliance, and high-quality effluent.
- Perform mechanical and electrical repairs on pumps, compressors, valves, HVAC, and electrical systems.
- Participate in daily operations and maintenance activities as directed by the plant manager.
- Respond to emergency situations and work in various weather conditions as needed.
Requirements
- High School or trade school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A valid motor vehicle operator's license is required.
- Experience in the operation and maintenance of pumps, motors, electrical and automation equipment, plumbing fixtures, boilers, and compressors is preferred.
- Knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions involved in wastewater treatment work.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with superiors and other personnel.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Must be able to lift or move up to 40 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Successful candidates will be required to complete a pre-placement background check, physical, and drug screen before employment.
