The Industrial Wastewater Treatment Operator supports the operation and maintenance of a wastewater treatment plant, focusing on process monitoring, equipment repairs, and ensuring safety, compliance, and high-quality water treatment for a food processing client in Worthington, Minnesota.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and maintain the wastewater treatment plant and associated equipment.
Monitor and adjust treatment processes to ensure safety, compliance, and high-quality effluent.
Perform mechanical and electrical repairs on pumps, compressors, valves, HVAC, and electrical systems.
Participate in daily operations and maintenance activities as directed by the plant manager.
Respond to emergency situations and work in various weather conditions as needed.
Requirements
High School or trade school diploma or equivalent is required.
A valid motor vehicle operator's license is required.
Experience in the operation and maintenance of pumps, motors, electrical and automation equipment, plumbing fixtures, boilers, and compressors is preferred.
Knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions involved in wastewater treatment work.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with superiors and other personnel.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Must be able to lift or move up to 40 lbs. on a regular basis.
Successful candidates will be required to complete a pre-placement background check, physical, and drug screen before employment.
