The Wastewater Collection Systems Operator is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of wastewater collection systems and pump stations, ensuring compliance and efficient plant operation while working outdoors and responding to emergencies as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in the operations and maintenance of Water and Wastewater Treatment Systems as directed by the Project Manager
Perform daily process monitoring to maintain 100% compliance
Operate and repair pump station and plant equipment, including odor control, STEP systems, Vacuum Sewer Stations, and Grinder Pumps
Respond to emergencies and unpredicted situations, including participating in on-call rotations
Support the operation of water and wastewater treatment plant equipment in a support role
Requirements
Participate in the operations and maintenance of Wastewater Collection System and/or Wastewater Pumping Stations, including odor control systems, STEP systems, Vacuum Sewer Stations, and Grinder Pumps.
Operate water and/or wastewater treatment plant equipment in a support role.
Perform skilled, journeyman-level work in monitoring, repairing, and controlling the functioning of pump station and plant equipment and processes.
Regularly participate in the daily operations and maintenance of Water and Wastewater Treatment Systems as directed by the Project Manager.
Participate in an on-call rotation on weekends, holidays, and outside normal workday hours.
Respond to emergencies or unpredicted situations as required.
Maintain 100% compliance through daily process monitoring and a comprehensive maintenance system.
Work outdoors in protecting water resources.
Possess the ability to perform work that involves monitoring, repairing, and controlling pump station and plant equipment and processes at a skilled, journeyman level.
Have the ability to respond to emergency situations outside of normal work hours as part of an on-call rotation.
