Job Description

The Consulting Division Leader at Woodard Curran is an executive role responsible for overseeing and integrating the company's environmental consulting services, driving operational excellence, strategic planning, and client-focused solutions to support sustainable growth and community impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and unify the environmental consulting organization to ensure high performance.
  • Drive operational integration across diverse consulting disciplines.
  • Ensure consistent technical and project delivery excellence.
  • Develop and implement strategies, long-range plans, and enterprise initiatives for sustainable growth.
  • Partner with executive leadership to translate strategy into actionable plans.
  • Champion systems, talent development, and frameworks that enable scale, predictability, and innovation.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of environmental and engineering consulting, including technical leadership and operational excellence, with the ability to translate strategy into execution through guiding long-range planning, annual business plans, and enterprise initiatives.
  • Strong project management discipline with the ability to ensure consistent technical and project delivery excellence across diverse consulting disciplines.
  • Strategic insight and experience in leading a high-performing environmental consulting organization, including driving operational integration and systems, talent, and frameworks that enable scale, predictability, and innovation.
  • Experience partnering closely with executive leadership to support sustainable growth, technical leadership, and client success.
  • Proven leadership presence and the ability to inspire teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in environmental services, professional engineering, or related consulting fields, with demonstrated leadership in a senior or executive role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively guide strategy, collaborate with leadership, and lead diverse teams.
  • Experience in guiding long-range planning, annual business planning, and enterprise initiatives that support growth and technical excellence.
