The Collections Utility Worker is responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining water and sewer infrastructure, including sewer mains and manholes, operating heavy equipment, and assisting with installation and customer service tasks at water and wastewater facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect and repair sanitary sewer mains and manholes
Operate heavy equipment such as manhole lining equipment, high pressure cleaning equipment, excavators, track loaders, skid loaders, and backhoes
Weld and repair water and sewer mains
Assist in responding to and resolving customer complaints
Locate and inspect new lines and related infrastructure
Requirements
Experience in inspecting and repairing sanitary sewer mains and manholes.
Ability to operate a variety of heavy equipment such as manhole lining equipment, high pressure cleaning equipment, excavators, track loaders, skid loaders, and backhoes.
Welding skills related to repairing water and sewer mains.
Experience in assisting with responding to and resolving customer complaints and yards following installation operations.
Ability to assist in locating and inspecting new lines.
High school diploma or equivalent (implied, as no formal education requirement specified but typical for such roles).
