Job Description
The Collections Utility Worker is responsible for operating and maintaining water and wastewater facilities, ensuring the proper functioning of equipment and process controls to support clean water and environmental health. The role offers opportunities for both inexperienced and experienced individuals seeking a career in water utility operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain water and wastewater facilities and equipment
- Monitor process control systems at water and wastewater facilities
- Perform routine inspections and troubleshooting of systems and equipment
Requirements
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent educational background.
- Be interested in a career in water and wastewater utilities, including positions suitable for inexperienced individuals seeking their first full-time job licensed, or experienced operations and maintenance professionals, or those in the water sewer industry seeking to make a career change.
- Be able to operate and maintain facilities, equipment, and process control at water and wastewater facilities as part of a team.
- Availability to work full-time on a schedule that includes winter hours from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm plus overtime, and summer hours from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm.
- Be eligible for overtime work.
- Be physically capable of performing job duties, which may include operating equipment and performing maintenance tasks at water and wastewater facilities.
- Have the ability to work in various environmental conditions associated with water and wastewater operations.

Compensation/salary range (not specified)
Work schedule: Winter Schedule 7:30am - 4:00pm plus overtime, Summer Schedule 6:30am - 3:00pm
