Job Description
This role involves providing HR and People Operations support in a fast-paced, high-growth tech environment, focusing on employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, and internal communications to help scale the company and maintain a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary People Ops contact for employees and managers, handling benefits, time off, leaves of absence, policies, and payroll requests.
- Partner with the People Team Lead to drive and improve recruiting processes.
- Manage internal communications, including drafting messages, updating the intranet, and creating presentation materials.
- Support the execution of core People programs such as performance cycles, compensation reviews, and engagement surveys.
- Facilitate onboarding for new hires and conduct exit interviews to identify trends.
- Analyze people data and partner with leadership to improve team health and retention.
- Act as the point of contact for People Team vendors and manage vendor relationships.
- Provide backup support for cross-functional teams like Workplace, Executive Assistance, Events, and Swag.
- Shadow the People Team Lead to gain experience in employee relations and feedback intake.
Requirements
- Three years of progressive experience in an HR People Recruiting role, preferably in a fast-paced, high-growth tech or startup environment.
- Foundational experience in core HR and Recruiting operations.
- Proven ability to build trust and credibility with employees and managers throughout an organization.
- A high degree of care and empathy for stakeholders and colleagues.
- Highly organized with a strong sense of ownership, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a proactive, roll-up-your-sleeves attitude.
- Familiarity with US employment law basics such as FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and compliance requirements.
- Experience using HRIS and People Analytics tools such as Workday and Lattice to manage data and derive insights (preferred but not mandatory).
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and financial calculations.
- Effective user of AI, understanding its strengths and weaknesses.
