The Associate Counsel EU will manage real estate transactions, open new European markets, and advise on commercial and corporate legal matters, supporting the company's growth and risk management across European markets.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a pipeline of deals across European markets and facilitate communication between legal, origination, pricing, and management teams
Lead efforts to open new markets, including entity setup, compliance, KYC, and structuring real estate transactions
Oversee local counsel in European markets regarding document negotiation and due diligence activities
Underwrite transactions and prepare recommendations for senior executives
Advise on commercial and corporate legal matters
Requirements
Five (5) years of experience as a commercial real estate lawyer in law firm and in-house settings.
Qualified to practice law in an EU member state.
Residence and work authorization within the EU, preferably Spain.
Written and spoken fluency in English.
Fluency with technology including Office 365, Teams, Sharepoint, and Salesforce.
Ability to manage a pipeline of deals across various European markets and facilitate dialogue between pricing, origination, legal, and management teams.
Experience leading efforts to open new markets, including entity setup, compliance, and KYC procedures.
Experience creating and validating real estate transaction structures consistent with company underwriting and risk profile.
Overseeing local counsel in European markets with respect to document negotiation and due diligence activities.
Underwriting transactions and preparing recommendations to senior executives.
Advising on various commercial and corporate matters.
