Key Responsibilities
Develop general-purpose robot behaviors using machine learning and large-scale physical interaction datasets
Redefine robotic manipulation to enable long-horizon, dexterous behaviors in diverse environments
Collaborate across hardware, simulation, perception, controls, and machine learning teams to advance robotic capabilities
Requirements
A motivated engineer with a make it happen mentality who is able to work independently when needed and also works well as part of a larger integrated group in pioneering robotics and machine learning.
Experience in developing or working with general-purpose robots capable of operating reliably in complex, unstructured environments.
Ability to cultivate large-scale datasets of physical interaction from a variety of sources and build on the latest advances in machine learning to learn general-purpose robot behaviors from this data.
Deep, multi-functional expertise across hardware, simulation, perception, controls, and machine learning relevant to robotic manipulation and general-purpose robot behaviors.
Proven success in developing fundamental capabilities in robotics and machine learning, as well as contributing to open-source software and publications in these fields.
