Job Description
A Dual Fuel Smart Meter Engineer responsible for installing and demonstrating smart meters in customers' homes, providing energy-saving advice, and ensuring excellent customer service as part of the Octopus Energy Services team.
Key Responsibilities
- Install dual fuel smart meters in customers' homes
- Demonstrate and explain the operation of meters and in-home displays to customers
- Show customers how meters can help save energy
- Answer customer questions about smart meters and the green energy revolution
- Ensure safety and maintain customer service excellence during installations
Requirements
- Experience as a smart meter engineer with a track record of safety and customer excellence
- Ability to represent the company's brands in customers' homes and communicate effectively with customers
- Willingness to install dual fuel smart meters and demonstrate how the meter and in-home display work
- Ability to explain to customers how their meter and in-home display can help them save energy
- Capability to answer customer questions about green energy and the green energy revolution
- Willingness to work as part of the Octopus Energy Services team, supporting company performance goals
- Ability to adapt to evolving processes and shift focus from administrative tasks to delivering high-quality service
- Availability to complete the onboarding process, which typically takes up to 4 weeks, with flexibility as needed
