Job Description
The Portfolio Engagement Director at Toyota Ventures supports early-stage startups in frontier and climate technologies by working closely with startup executives to foster their growth, facilitate customer discovery and business development, and deliver strategic value to Toyota.
Key Responsibilities
- Support portfolio companies across frontier and climate technologies in areas such as AI, mobility, autonomy, robotics, space, materials, hydrogen, renewable energy, and carbon solutions.
- Work closely with startup executives to champion their needs and support their growth in customer discovery and business development.
- Deliver strategic value to Toyota through engagement with portfolio companies.
Requirements
- Support portfolio companies across both Frontier and Climate funds in areas such as AI, mobility, autonomy, robotics, space, materials, hydrogen, renewable energy, and carbon solutions.
- Work closely with startup executives to champion their needs and support their growth in areas like customer discovery and business development.
- Deliver strategic value to Toyota through engagement with portfolio companies.
- Possess a strong customer-focused professional attitude with a passion for helping startups.

Compensation/salary range of $140,000 to $190,000 per year (California-based roles)
