A Senior Transportation Planner leads transportation projects, mentors junior staff, engages with community stakeholders, and supports business development efforts within a collaborative, hybrid work environment focused on planning, design, and community engagement services.
Key Responsibilities
Lead transportation planning projects of varying scales
Mentor graduate planners and collaborate with professionals
Engage in community stakeholder engagement and planning documentation
Manage project programs from planning through construction administration
Contribute to business development by shaping marketing strategies and nurturing client relationships
Develop proposals and deliver presentations for projects
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in transportation planning, urban planning, civil engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation planning or a related field.
Experience leading transportation planning projects of small to large scale.
Ability to mentor graduate planners and collaborate with professional team members.
Engagement in all aspects of the planning and design process, including community stakeholder engagement, planning documentation, and program management through to construction administration.
Experience in shaping marketing strategies, nurturing relationships with clients and agency partners, identifying and tracking business opportunities, developing proposals, and delivering presentations.
Ability to work in a hybrid work environment with in-office presence Tuesday through Thursday and remote work Monday and Friday.
Successful completion of a standard pre-employment background screening, including Social Security verification, educational verification, review of criminal convictions, and driving history.
