Job Description
A Senior Project Manager PE specializing in highway design, responsible for leading transportation infrastructure projects, providing comprehensive planning and engineering services, and supporting business development efforts within a collaborative, employee-owned firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design of complex transportation infrastructure projects ensuring safety and efficiency
- Provide comprehensive services including transportation planning, geometric layouts, multimodal planning, preliminary engineering, and final design
- Collaborate with management and business development teams to cultivate client relationships, develop proposals, and support marketing efforts
Requirements
- Possession of a Professional Engineer (PE) license in the relevant state or jurisdiction.
- Experience leading projects for designing complex, safe, and efficient transportation infrastructure systems.
- Experience working with clients to provide a full range of services including sustainable transportation planning, geometric layouts, multimodal planning, preliminary engineering, and final design.
- Experience contributing to business development activities such as developing marketing plans, cultivating and maintaining relations with clients and agency representatives, tracking prospective opportunities, developing proposals, and delivering client presentations.
- Ability to collaborate with the Highway Group Manager and the Vice President of Surface Transportation Engineering.
- Experience working in a team environment that thrives on collaboration and innovation.
- Ability to ensure projects are optimized for cost efficiency and risk mitigation.
- Willingness to work in a hybrid work environment with a flexible schedule of 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.
- Completion of a standard pre-employment background screening, including Social Security verification, educational verification, review of criminal convictions, and driving history.
