Job Description
The Traffic Engineer will develop and analyze transportation infrastructure projects, perform traffic data collection and evaluations, and prepare designs and construction plans for traffic signals, lighting, and signage, contributing to urban mobility solutions within a collaborative, employee-owned firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Observe and collect traffic data
- Perform intersection evaluations
- Complete traffic and corridor studies
- Conduct analyses using simulation and modeling software
- Prepare preliminary and final traffic designs
- Develop construction plans for traffic signals, lighting, staging, maintenance of traffic, signing, and striping
Requirements
- Possess a Professional Engineer license in traffic engineering or a related field.
- Have 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in traffic engineering or transportation infrastructure design.
- Currently reside or plan to relocate within a regular commuting distance of the company's office.
- Experience observing and collecting traffic data, performing intersection evaluations, completing traffic and corridor studies, and conducting analyses using simulation and modeling software.
- Ability to prepare preliminary and final designs and develop construction plans for traffic signals, lighting, construction staging, maintenance of traffic, signing, and striping.
