Job Description
A Professional Structural Engineer responsible for leading multidisciplinary projects, designing and analyzing structural systems for various types of buildings, mentoring engineers, and contributing to business development within a collaborative, employee-owned engineering firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze complex industrial facilities, educational buildings, mining structures, and commercial developments for structural integrity and design.
- Design structural systems for various types of buildings and structures.
- Lead multidisciplinary projects collaborating with civil, electrical, mechanical, and architectural professionals.
- Mentor developing engineers and build client relationships.
- Contribute to business development through proposal writing and marketing efforts.
Requirements
- Possess a Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Minnesota or be eligible to obtain one.
- Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering design and analysis.
- Demonstrate experience leading multidisciplinary projects involving civil, electrical, mechanical, and architectural professionals.
- Proven ability to analyze complex industrial facilities, educational buildings, mining structures, or commercial developments.
- Experience designing structural systems for various types of structures, including university campuses and government buildings.
- Ability to mentor developing engineers and lead project teams effectively.
- Strong client relationship management skills, with experience building and maintaining client trust.
- Experience contributing to business development activities such as proposal writing and marketing efforts.
- Willingness to work in a hybrid environment with in-office presence Tuesday through Thursday and WFH on Monday and Friday.
- Successfully complete a standard pre-employment background screening, including Social Security verification, educational verification, review of criminal convictions, and driving history.
