The Staff Accountant will provide accounting support across departments by performing tasks such as reconciliations, invoice coding, AR and AP management, journal entries, and project financial reporting in a collaborative and fast-paced environment, with potential for hybrid work arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements
Receive, code, and post accounts payable invoices
Update and maintain accounts receivable records
Assist with journal entry input
Compile data for financial reports
Process payments, check requests, and expense reports
Collaborate with team members to create projects within the ERP system
Obtain contract documentation and billing requirements
Provide project status updates and financial data to project stakeholders
Requirements
Possess the ability to perform bank account and credit card statement reconciliations with accuracy and efficiency.
Receive and code Accounts Payable (AP) invoices for posting.
Update and maintain Accounts Receivable (AR) records.
Assist with journal entry input.
Compile data for reports accurately and efficiently.
Process payments, check requests, and expense reports.
Collaborate frequently with Accountants, Contracts Specialists, Engineering and Architecture professionals to create new projects within the ERP system and obtain copies of applicable contract documentation and billing requirements.
Interact directly with Project Managers, Market Managers, and Division VPs to provide status and progress updates and relevant project financial data such as invoices, accounts payable, change orders, or contract modifications.
Complete a standard pre-employment background screening, including Social Security verification, educational verification, review of criminal convictions, and driving history.
