Job Description

The Senior Project Manager Engineer at TKDA leads and manages water resource projects focused on stormwater control, flood management, and environmental protection, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop sustainable, cost-effective solutions in a hybrid work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive and manage water resource projects related to stormwater control, drainage, and management systems.
  • Lead technical design efforts and develop sustainable solutions for clients' water resource challenges.
  • Coordinate project activities to ensure designs are cost-effective, environmentally sustainable, and compliant with regulations.
  • Oversee project planning, modeling, and development of stormwater infrastructure for various public and private clients.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize project outcomes for sustainability, risk mitigation, and cost efficiency.

Requirements

  • Experience in driving innovative water resource projects as either a Project Manager or Lead Technical Design Engineer.
  • Ability to shape sustainable solutions for clients' pressing water resource challenges.
  • Proven expertise in leading projects with a focus on environmental impact, sustainability, cost efficiency, and risk mitigation.
  • Strong collaboration skills within a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, hydrologists, scientists, designers, and technicians.
  • Experience working on stormwater drainage and management systems design, modeling, and development.
  • Experience working on projects for DOT, county, and city agencies in the upper Midwest, Class I railroad projects nationwide, and private clients nationwide.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment with in-office presence on Monday and Friday and WFH Tuesday through Thursday.
  • Educational background in engineering, hydrology, environmental science, or related field (implied by professional role).
  • Completion of a standard pre-employment background screening, including Social Security verification, educational verification, review of criminal convictions, and driving history.
